Assistant General Manager | Full Time
At Wagamama, we’re an eating house for the soul. With over 160 UK restaurants and growing, our purpose is to nourish the world from bowl to soul. Inspired by fast-paced Japanese ramen bars since 1992, Wagamama is a celebration of Asian food brought to life.
We’re looking for an Assistant General Manager to join us on our journey of true nourishment.
As an Assistant General Manager, you'll be a key part of the restaurant leadership team, supporting the General Manager in leading the restaurant in the Wagamama way. You’ll embody our values and core leadership behaviors, inspiring and motivating your team to deliver exceptional service and exceed expectations. A passion for people, food, and hospitality, along with a drive to make positive change, is essential.
We offer a competitive salary, a £3000 bonus opportunity per year, and an average tips of £140 per week.*
Additional benefits include access to Wagestream to access up to 30% of your earnings before payday, a dedicated 6-week training program, free Wagameal food allowance on shifts, discounts at Wagamama and other TRG brands, internal progression opportunities, wellness programs, family-friendly policies, and financial wellbeing support.
Our philosophy, Kaizen, means ‘good change’. It influences how we create food, think, work, and our commitment to community and environmental impact. We celebrate personality over perfection, welcoming everyone and their unique stories. Our promise is to support each other, build trust, and create safe spaces for open conversations.
We ask you to bring your authentic self to Wagamama.
