Job summary

Coaching Inn Group in the United Kingdom is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Operative to keep our historic inns safe, compliant and well presented. You will report to the General Manager and work with the Regional Maintenance Technician on planned and reactive maintenance across the hotel.

We value practical maintenance skills, the ability to work independently, good communication and basic IT. A full UK driving licence is required; IPAF 1b is desirable. You supply your own tools for the job.

Qualifications

• Previous maintenance or trade experience.
• Practical skills across general building maintenance.
• Ability to work independently and solve problems.
• Good communication and basic IT skills.
• Proactive approach and pride in your work.
• Full UK driving licence (maximum six penalty points).
• IPAF 1b licence desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Planned preventative maintenance (PPM).
• General repairs across the hotel.
• Weekly compliance and safety checks.
• Basic plumbing, joinery, decorating, and building repairs.
• Grounds and external maintenance.
• Working with contractors where required.
• Logging maintenance activity using our facilities management system.
