Job summary

The Coaching Inn Group is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Operative to help keep our historic hotels safe, compliant, and looking their best across the UK. You’ll report to the General Manager and work with the Regional Maintenance Technician on planned and reactive tasks.

Applicants should have practical skills in building maintenance, good communication, and the ability to work independently, with a UK driving licence. IPAF 1b is desirable but not essential.

Qualifications

• Previous maintenance or trade experience.
• Practical skills across general building maintenance.
• Ability to work independently and solve problems.
• Good communication and basic IT skills.
• A proactive approach and pride in your work.
• Full UK driving licence (maximum six penalty points).
• IPAF 1b licence is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Planned preventative maintenance (PPM).
• General repairs across the hotel.
• Weekly compliance and safety checks.
• Basic plumbing, joinery, decorating, and building repairs.
• Grounds and external maintenance.
• Working with contractors where required.
• Logging maintenance activity using our facilities management system.

The Role
