Job summary

Arena Racing Company is seeking an experienced Hospitality & Events Manager to join our catering team at our Welsh racecourse. You will oversee hospitality delivery on race days and non-race day events, driving commercial opportunities, controlling costs, and delivering outstanding service.

In this hands-on role, you’ll plan staffing, budgets, and menus in collaboration with the Head Chef and Catering Operations Manager, while leading a casual events team to ensure high standards and memorable

• Understanding of hospitality and event operations and cost control.

Responsibilities

• Plan staffing for race days and non-race day events with detailed hospitality plans.
• Monitor and control variable labour costs to stay within budget.
• Collaborate with Catering Operations Manager and Head Chef on food/beverage offers and event themes within cost of goods.
• Manage allergen compliance and keep allergen information up to date.
• Lead hospitality and events and support Business Coordinators from planning through delivery.
• Coordinate event setup, equipment, and stock levels; ensure PAR levels are maintained.
• Coach the casual team in core skills and service standards; brief staff before events.
