Job summary

Gower College Swansea is seeking an experienced Hospitality & Catering Technician to join the Tycoch campus team. The role is part-time (18.5 hours per week), term-time (40 weeks per annum) and permanent, with an annual salary of £11,641.

Based at Tycoch Campus in Swansea, the post requires a Level 2 qualification in Hospitality & Catering, plus food hygiene and Maths/English at Level 2 or equivalent. Thorough duties include maintaining hygiene standards and supporting practical classes.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 2 in Hospitality & Catering including food preparation.
• L2/L3 Food hygiene qualification.
• Level 2 (Grade A-C) or equivalent Maths and English.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, healthy, hygienic work environment in all Hospitality and Catering workplaces to statutory requirements, while satisfying all hygiene and safety legislation.
• Issue, receive and ensure cleanliness of all equipment (refrigerators, deep freezers, store cupboards, etc.).
• Source, order, receive, store and dispense equipment, materials and ingredients for practical classes from recognised suppliers.
• Complete First Responder training and undertake the duties.
