Job summary

University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust invites applications for Security Operatives to join our new Security Team across Royal Bournemouth, Poole, and Christchurch (Macmillan Unit). The role provides essential 24-hour security services and a chance to contribute to a safe, caring hospital environment.

You will patrol, deter crime, respond to incidents, and support patients, visitors and staff using clear communication and professional conduct.

Qualifications

• Good general education with basic literacy and numeracy.
• CSE English and Maths level 4 or equivalent.
• Awareness of the Community Safety Accreditation Scheme.
• Ability to meet SIA licence requirements.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Trust teams to prevent crime and respond to violence.
• Conduct 24/7 patrols of hospital sites.
• Assist patients, visitors and staff, ensuring safety.
• Support patient care by maintaining a secure environment.
• Manage CCTV operations and reporting.
