Job summary

Equans UK & Ireland is hiring a Security Officer for Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham. The role is full-time, 42 hours per week, with a salary of £30,169 per year. You will patrol, monitor security systems, and respond to incidents to keep patients and staff safe.

DBS clearance and an SIA licence are required, with five years of history records. The position offers a supportive work environment, shift patterns including 12-hour cycles, and opportunities to contribute to a secure healthcare

Qualifications

• Clear DBS standard level clearance.
• Hold an SIA Licence.
• Full 5 years address history.
• Full 5 years work or education history.
• Applicants with prior security, law enforcement, or military experience are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular patrols to ensure the security of hospital areas.
• Monitor surveillance cameras and alarms to identify potential security risks.
• Respond to emergencies including medical and security incidents.
• Assist with access control and visitor management procedures.
• Collaborate with hospital staff and local law enforcement as necessary.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients, visitors, and staff.
