Hereford County Hospital is recruiting a Porter for Sodexo to support daily hospital operations. You will safely move patients, equipment, and supplies across wards, while upholding health and safety standards and patient care.

A friendly, confidential approach is essential as you assist staff, patients, and visitors. The role emphasizes teamwork with the ability to work independently when required, maintaining professionalism in a busy hospital environment.

Responsibilities

• Guide patients, visitors, and staff to the correct hospital locations.
• Handle waste collection and recycling while maintaining health and safety standards.
• Follow all relevant policies, procedures, and management systems.
• Safely transport patients between wards using appropriate equipment and care.
• Deliver specimens, samples, and blood products securely across departments.
• Support with respectful transfer of deceased patients.
• Provide additional porter services such as mail delivery, pharmacy runs, moving furniture, and transporting records or stock.
