Job summary

Sharpsmart is recruiting for a casual hours Environmental Service Technician/Hospital Porter in our Field Services team. You will move healthcare waste within a hospital setting, supporting on-site duties and ensuring safety and efficiency.

The role is based at North Middlesex Hospital (N18 1QX). You will routinely transport large waste bins, assist with waste segregation and bin colour coding, and work as part of a responsive team to uphold high standards of service.

Responsibilities

• Portering of large 770L and 1100L wheelie bins from waste rooms to disposal areas and back daily
• Cleaning of large wheeled bins (770L) and recycling bins
• Supporting on-site contract duties as required for project-specific tasks
• Collection and distribution of reusable sharps containers weekly
• Assist in waste segregation and bin colour coding
• Adhere to health and safety processes and procedures

We have a vacancy for a casual hours Environmental Service Technician/Hospital Porter within our Field Services team. Field Services ensure our customers receive a top level service, and ensure we continue to up-hold our high standards.

This role will be based in a hospital healthcare environment and have a main focus of moving healthcare waste throughout the hospital.

Location:

North Middlesex Hospital - N18 1QX

Your role as a Porter will involve:

• Portering of large 770L and 1100L wheelie bins from waste rooms to place of disposal and back on a daily basis.


• Cleaning of large wheeled 770L domestic and recycling bins.


• Supporting the contract on site where necessary with project specific duties


• Collection and distribution of our own reusable sharps containers on a weekly basis.


• Supportive in waste segregation, bin bag colour coding.


• Adhere to health and safety processes and procedures
