Daniels Health & Sharpsmart is hiring a Casual Environmental Service Technician/Hospital Porter to support our Field Services team in a hospital setting. The role focuses on moving healthcare waste, bin handling, and waste container management within the EN5 Barnet area.

Casual hours with flexible shifts; DBS required. You’ll join a team delivering high standards of service while maintaining health and safety compliance across site operations.

Responsibilities

• Portering large 770L and 1100L wheelie bins within hospital environments.
• Cleaning of large wheeled bins and waste containers.
• Support on-site with project-specific duties.
• Collection and distribution of reusable sharps containers weekly.
• Assist with waste segregation and bin colour coding.
• Adhere to health and safety processes and procedures.
• Carry out duties in a fast-paced environment.

We have a vacancy for a casual hours Environmental Service Technician/Hospital Porter within our Field Services team. Field Services ensure our customers receive a top level service, and ensure we continue to up-hold our high standards.

This role will be based in a hospital healthcare environment and have a main focus of moving healthcare waste throughout the hospital.

Location

Barnet - EN5

• Portering of large 770L and 1100L wheelie bins from waste rooms to place of disposal and back on a daily basis.
• Cleaning of large wheeled 770L domestic and recycling bins.
• Supporting the contract on site where necessary with project specific duties
• Collection and distribution of our own reusable sharps containers on a weekly basis.
• Supportive in waste segregation, bin bag colour coding.
• Adhere to health and safety processes and procedures
• Have an understanding of Health and Safety in the workplace.
• Demonstrate ability to work as part of a team.
• Have ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to carry out physically demanding tasks such as moving bulk containers
