Job summary

Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust (NSFT) is seeking a skilled Plumber/Heating Engineer to join the maintenance team in Norwich. You will provide a comprehensive on-site service across multiple sites, with training offered for Gas Safe qualifications if needed.

The role requires flexibility, teamwork, and the ability to work safely in a mental health environment. A Trust vehicle is provided for work hours, and a range of benefits accompany the position.

Qualifications

• Two years’ experience in plumbing/mechanical engineering.
• Experience in mental health or secure service hospital environment preferred.
• Gas Safe/ACS qualifications encouraged but not essential, with training provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive planned, routine and reactive maintenance.
• Repair and maintenance of mechanical services and equipment on site.
• Fault finding and diagnosis.
• Routine safety inspections to ensure estate is safe and compliant.
• Participate in on-call rota for out-of-hours service.
