Job summary

Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust (NSFT) is seeking a skilled Plumber/Heating Engineer to join our existing maintenance team in Suffolk, based at Bury St Edmunds. You will support a comprehensive maintenance service across our sites, with a focus on safety and reliability.

The ideal candidate is flexible, enthusiastic and a team player; Gas Safe registration is desirable but not essential as training will be provided. NSFT prides itself on support and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience in plumbing/mechanical engineering with recognised apprenticeship or equivalent.
• Gas qualification is advantageous and training provided if needed.
• Driving licence required for Trust vehicle use.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive planned, routine and reactive maintenance.
• Repair and maintain mechanical services and equipment on site.
• Fault finding and diagnosis, ensuring estate safety and compliance.
• Participate in on-call emergency rota as required.
• Adhere to health and safety and relevant legislation.
