Job summary

The Pharmacy Department at Ysbyty Gwynedd is recruiting an enthusiastic Pharmacy Assistant to support Goods-Receipt & Distribution. You will work as part of a friendly team, handling stock and general duties in NHS Wales.

You will be trained in Buttercups Stock Management and must follow SOPs, codes of conduct, and collaborate with clinical staff to ensure safe patient care. Welsh language skills are desirable but English speakers welcome.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths and English required.
• NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services or willingness to achieve within 12 months.
• Experience working as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Supply medicines, wound care products, diagnostic reagents, nutritional products and disinfectants held as stock on wards and in departments of the Health Board.
• Ordering and receipt of medicines and general goods into the pharmacy department.
• Dispensary receptionist and support duties.
• Over labelling of manufacturers' original packs in batches according to SOPs.
• To comply with Code of Conduct and SOPs and security requirements at all times.
• Work with patients and health/social care colleagues to achieve best outcomes.
• Undertake a range of clerical and administrative tasks to support smooth operation.
