Job summary

You will work a rotating shift pattern and participate in weekend/out-of-hours call-outs as needed. The package includes a 35k–40k salary, 33 days holiday and a contributory pension, plus access to training, mentoring and wellbeing resources.

Qualifications

• Recognised mechanical apprenticeship or equivalent training with Level 3 qualification.
• Experience maintaining mechanical building services in regulated environments (healthcare/industrial).
• Fault-finding and repair skills across mechanical plant and systems.
• Knowledge of permits, risk assessments and mechanical isolation procedures.
• Confident using CAFM or maintenance management systems to log work.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts, weekends and out-of-hours call-outs.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned maintenance, inspections, servicing, fault-finding and repairs on mechanical building services.
• Maintain boilers, pumps, heating and chilled water systems, calorifiers and pressure systems.
• Maintain ventilation equipment (air handling units, extract systems, fans, filters).
• Respond to plant failures, alarms, leaks and outages, escalating risks as needed.
• Record maintenance work and compliance evidence in the CAFM system.
• Follow permits, risk assessments and safe work procedures.
