Job summary

Victoria Hospital in Central Fife is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled chef to join NHS catering. The role is 36 hours per week, five days over seven, with shifts mainly Monday to Friday from 7.00am to 3.00pm.

You will assist in the preparation, cooking and presentation of meals for the dining room, Grab & Go and Cafe, ensuring safe, hygienic food handling and compliance with HACCP standards. PVG checks and UK work permissions apply.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a large environment is preferred along with a sound knowledge of cooking techniques.

Responsibilities

• Support the preparation, cooking and presentation of a range of foods for our dining room, Grab & Go and Cafe.
• Maintain a safe, efficient and welcoming retail catering service with time-sensitive service needs.
• Adhere to food safety, hygiene, allergen, HACCP and COSHH regulations; assist with stock management and waste reduction.
• Work closely with the Retail kitchen supervisor to promote catering services.
