Job summary

Royal Victoria Hospital is recruiting an Assistant Head Chef to support the Head Chef and lead a section of the hospital kitchen. The role focuses on delivering high-quality catering for patients, staff and visitors while maintaining HACCP, health and safety and COSHH standards.

Applicants should have supervisory experience in large-scale catering and a solid understanding of hospital food service procedures. The post is part-time, with weekend enhancements where applicable.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of HACCP, Health & Safety & COSHH procedures.
• Experience of cooking in a large-scale catering environment at supervisory level.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a high standard of catering services within the Hospital to patients, staff and visitors.
• Support the Head Chef and be part of the main kitchen team.
• Maintain a clean, safe working environment in line with hospital policies.
