Job summary

KIMS Hospital in Maidstone, Kent, is seeking a Guest Services Porter to provide friendly portering support to patients, visitors and staff. You will transport items, assist with admissions, and maintain safe public areas.

The role is 22.5 hours per week, rota-based, Monday – Sunday between 06:30 and 20:30. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality patient care and excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Previous hospital portering or similar customer-facing experience.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients, equipment, stores, specimens and other items safely around the hospital.
• Welcome, assist and escort patients and visitors with a warm, professional service.
• Support patient admissions and discharges, providing guidance as required.
• Assist with security, car parking and maintaining safe, tidy public areas across the hospital.
• Respond effectively to emergencies and support hospital operations with colleagues.
