Job summary

NHS Property Services Ltd is recruiting a General Assistant for St Lukes Hospital, Market Harborough. This role supports day-to-day hospital operations, portering, and maintaining a clean, safe environment for patients and staff. You will join a team across departments in a busy hospital setting.

The position is 25 hours per week with a shift pattern 0600–1300, Monday to Friday. An Enhanced DBS is required, and there are opportunities for development within the NHS Property Services framework.

Qualifications

• Flexible and reliable with availability to work across a rota, including weekends.
• Ability to adapt to changing shift patterns.
• Experience in a general assistant, porter, cleaning, or support role (healthcare experience desirable but not essential).
• Strong teamworking skills.
• A proactive and dependable approach.
• Comfortable working in a busy, patient-focused environment.
