Sodexo is hiring a Food Service Assistant at Birmingham Children’s Hospital. You will prepare and serve quality food, create a welcoming customer experience, and ensure high standards of food safety and hygiene. The role involves working with a friendly team in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities include daily food prep, stock handling, till operations, and adherence to Sodexo hygiene policies. No prior exposure required, but Level 2 Food Safety is preferable and a positive, proactive

Qualifications

• Experience in food preparation and service in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in a fast-paced customer facing food/retail business.
• Level 2 Food Safety is preferable.
• Good literacy and numeracy required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Support preparation of retail and food produce for daily service in line with specification.
• Food storage and prep in line with Sodexo standards.
• Maintain a safe working environment for staff and customers.
• Maintain personal hygiene and uniform standards per policy.
• Deliver high standards of customer service and capture feedback/survey results.
• Operate and declare till daily, recording revenue.
• Attend monthly Sodexo training and competency checks.
• Maintain stock rotation and minimise waste.
