Job summary

NCIC is recruiting a part-time cleaning assistant at Brampton War Memorial Hospital. The role runs a fixed term of 9 months with a 35-hour week on a 3-week rota, including weekend shifts from 7am to 3pm. The successful candidate will maintain cleanliness across wards and clinical areas and support in meal service to patients.

Applicants should be prepared for training and induction, with a focus on safety, quality, and NHS values such as kindness, respect, ambition and collaboration.

Qualifications

• NVQ 2 in Cleaning and Support Services or equivalent.
• Experience with hospital cleaning environments.
• Able to work shifts.

Responsibilities

• Floor buffing.
• Shampoo carpets with extraction machines.
• Clean inside windows, frames and sills.
• Clean furniture and fittings, mirrors, etc.
• Assist in induction of new staff.
• Routine cleaning and basic maintenance of cleaning equipment.
• Attend mandatory training sessions.
• Order weekly stores and put away on delivery.
• Serve meals to patients on hospital wards.
