Job summary

Linnaeus North Downs Specialist Referrals is seeking a part-time Facilities Assistant to help keep the hospital safe, clean, and running smoothly. The role spans clinical and non-clinical areas, with duties from maintenance coordination to moving furniture and supporting security, infection control, and patient care readiness.

Working 30 hours weekly, Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend work, you’ll join a team committed to high standards and staff wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Experience in busy hospital environment or equivalent setting.
• Ability to move and handle equipment safely.
• Comfort around animals and clinical environments.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and urgent requests.

Responsibilities

• Responding promptly to maintenance issues and supporting planned maintenance activities.
• Assisting with repairs, moving furniture, and handling equipment.
• Liaising with contractors and clinical/non-clinical teams.
• Maintaining a safe, clean, secure hospital environment and operations.
• Adapting quickly to changing priorities and day-to-day needs of a busy hospital.
