Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an Estates Mechanical Operative to support and undertake mechanical trades and maintenance across Trust sites. The role covers non-routine tasks, compliance with safety standards, and involvement in planned maintenance programmes to meet NHS standards.

The post is Band 3 with 37.5 hours per week, with overtime and on-call allowances. The Trust offers a competitive salary and pension benefits, plus discounts and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• HTM's/HBN's, Model Specifications, regulations and British Standards guidance.
• Participation in Trust labour control scheme and completion of paperwork.
• Planned Preventative Maintenance including Heating, Ventilation and Medical Gas PPMs.
• Ability to prioritise changing workloads with Estates Operations Manager/Mechanical Team Leader.
• Understand maintenance policies and assist other trades as required.
• Ability to work in challenging or unpleasant environments and high safety demands.
• Maintain concentration for long tasks and manage task paperwork.
• Carry Trust communication device at all times for emergencies.

Responsabilités

• Work in accordance with HTMs, HBNs and related standards.
• Operate within the labour control scheme and complete job dockets and timesheets.
• Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance for building services systems.
• Prioritise workload changes with the Estates Management team.
• Support other trades as required and maintain safe systems of work.
• Work in clinical areas and potentially in hazardous environments.
