Job summary

Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an Estates Mechanical Operative to support and undertake mechanical trades operations and maintenance across the Trust’s sites. The role is full time (37.5 hours per week) and Band 3 plus RRP, with overtime and on-call allowances available.

You will assist with planned engineering/building maintenance programmes, ensure compliance with safety standards and procedures, and help deliver reliable estate services across John Radcliffe,

Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical trades and facilities maintenance.
• Ability to work within NHS safety standards and procedures.
• Ability to complete paperwork including timesheets and job dockets.
• Willingness to support planned maintenance programmes and assist other trades.

Responsibilities

• Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance, including heating, ventilation and medical gas PPMs.
• Work to HTMs/HBNs and statutory regulations and Trust policies.
• Prioritise changing workloads and respond to work requests with Estates Ops Manager.
• Process own timesheets and job dockets and carry Trust communication devices for emergencies.
