Job summary

United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust (ULHT) seeks a motivated Maintenance Assistant based at Lincoln Hospital. Join the Estates maintenance team to deliver proactive and reactive maintenance, ensuring safe, cost-effective, and compliant facilities supporting patient care.

You will be involved in a range of duties from basic repairs to grounds maintenance, with opportunities for skill development within a large NHS trust. The role offers diverse tasks in a dynamic hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Proven City & Guilds/NVQ2 in engineering or equivalent.
• Additional hospital engineering training or certification preferred.
• Extensive maintenance experience in a large organisation, ideally hospital-based.

Responsibilities

• General reactive and planned maintenance across site and external areas.
• Maintain ventilation systems, basic plumbing, electrical and mechanical systems.
• Grounds and gardens maintenance, signage repairs and painting tasks.
• Assist with on-call and emergency maintenance activities as needed.
• Cooperate with housekeeping and other teams to ensure safe, clean facilities.
