Job summary

Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an Electrical Technician for the Estates Team at Luton & Dunstable Hospital. This full-time role (37.5 hours) includes on-call duties and a plus allowance as part of the package.

The post involves diagnosing faults, maintaining building services, and supervising colleagues within a multi-site NHS environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on electrical experience, relevant qualifications, and a commitment to Health & Safety.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in service/maintenance roles within engineering
• Strong knowledge of Health & Safety procedures and building services engineering
• Experience supervising or coordinating a small team or shift

Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults and repair and maintain building engineering services, plant and equipment.
• Carry out testing, servicing and maintenance for complex plant and equipment.
• Oversee fault-finding, repairs and installation across Trust sites.
• Participate in on-call rota and out-of-hours support as required.
• Ensure compliance with Health and Safety policies and complete required paperwork.
