Job summary

Sharpsmart is seeking an Environmental Service Technician/Hospital Porter to operate within our Field Services team in a hospital environment. The role focuses on moving healthcare waste throughout the hospital, ensuring safe handling and compliance.

Qualifications

Understanding of Health and Safety in the workplace.
Ability to work as part of a team.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to carry out physically demanding tasks such as moving bulk containers
Flexibility for a range of hours

Responsibilities

Portering of large 770L and 1100L wheelie bins from waste rooms to disposal and back daily.
Cleaning of large wheeled 770L domestic and recycling bins.
Supporting the on-site contract with project-specific duties
Weekly collection and distribution of reusable sharps containers.
Support in waste segregation and bin bag colour coding.
Adhere to health and safety processes and procedures
