Job summary

The Priory Hospital in Birmingham, part of Circle Health Group, is seeking an Engineering Technician to join the Engineering team on a full-time 37.5-hour contract. The role covers maintenance, repair and support across the hospital site.

The successful candidate will hold appropriate safety certifications, complete mandatory training, and mentor other technicians while contributing to high engineering standards in a clinical environment.

Qualifications

• CSCS and ECS cards as required; electrical qualification preferred.
• Apprenticeship in mechanical or electrical engineering is essential.
• Strong Health and Safety awareness and knowledge of ACOPs, Legionella a must.

Responsibilities

• Complete work orders for planned maintenance, reactive and remedial tasks.
• Provide routine and specialist maintenance and breakdown support to the hospital site.
• Provide health, safety and environmental support and act as an exemplar of policies.
• Mentor and assist other site Technicians or Engineering Assistants.
• Advise Local Hospital managers on engineering matters as required.
• Maintain high engineering standards and integrity in a hospital environment.
• Ensure completion of all mandatory training.
