Job summary

Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Domestic Services Manager to lead HHCS domestic operations across Winchester and Basingstoke campuses. You will supervise the domestic, hydration and support services, ensuring high-quality, patient-focused delivery while complying with safety and infection-control standards.

The role requires rota planning, staff development, stock control and close coordination with wards to maintain service continuity on a seven-day rotating pattern,

Qualifications

• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and infection control procedures.
• Experience in supervising domestic or public-facing services.
• Ability to use IT packages including Teams, Outlook, Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate daily domestic operations across HHCS sites, ensuring resource allocation and service continuity.
• Manage, develop and support the domestic team to deliver safe, compliant cleaning services.
• Monitor service quality through audits and performance reporting to achieve KPIs and standards.
• Oversee stock control, maintenance reporting and equipment issues.
• Develop relationships with wards and departments to support operational requirements and continuous improvement.
• Plan rosters, monitor attendance, recruit support, and manage staff performance and development.
