Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is looking for a Domestic Supervisor to lead a team of domestic staff at Doddington Hospital. The role focuses on infection prevention, cleanliness standards and staff development in a busy healthcare environment.

You will organise tasks, adjust rotas, monitor performance and ensure compliance with safety and COSHH regulations while delivering high-quality service for patients, visitors and staff.

Qualifications

• Proven supervisory experience in domestic, facilities or healthcare settings.
• Knowledge of infection control protocols and decontamination procedures.
• Understanding of COSHH regulations and Health & Safety procedures.
• Ability to train staff and assess competencies.

Responsibilities

• Allocate, coordinate and organise day-to-day tasks for domestic staff.
• Manage staff rotas to cover sickness and service demands.
• Monitor performance and ensure tasks meet standards and schedules.
• Ensure cleaning tasks follow approved methods and infection control guidelines.
• Provide on-the-job training and competency assessments for staff.
• Conduct spot audits across wards to assess cleanliness.
• Support compliance with Trust policies and safety procedures.
• Act as a point of contact for staff and stakeholders.
• Maintain food safety documentation where required.
• Coordinate patient feeding activities to ensure safe delivery.
