Job summary

Sodexo is seeking a Domestic Facilities Coordinator to help ensure patients receive care in a clean, safe and welcoming hospital environment. You will lead domestic cleaning and food service colleagues, coordinate scheduling, training and performance reviews, and foster strong relationships with ward staff and service users.

You will monitor standards, drive infection prevention, manage resources, and participate in recruitment activities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the delivery of an efficient, high-quality domestic service.
• Monitor cleanliness against national standards and implement action plans when needed.
• Act as key point of contact for Sodexo colleagues, ward managers and service users.
• Lead and support team through scheduling, training, performance reviews and development planning.
• Manage absence processes, including return-to-work meetings and investigations.
• Deploy resources to respond to urgent requests and emergencies.
• Control cleaning materials, consumables and equipment to minimise waste.
• Build positive working relationships with staff, patients and service users.
• Support recruitment and onboarding of new employees.
• Promote a Zero Harm culture with proper incident investigations and records.
