Job summary

Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a Domestic Assistant to join the Riverside Centre team in Prestwich. The role focuses on maintaining a clean, safe hospital and office environment in line with infection control standards, supporting patients, staff and visitors.

You will work as part of a dedicated Domestic Services team, with full training provided. The post offers enhanced pay for evenings and Sundays, plus generous annual leave, cycle-to-work and a salary

Qualifications

• Experience not essential; full training provided.
• Able to work in patient areas while maintaining confidentiality.
• Commitment to infection control and safeguarding policies.

Responsibilities

• Carry out cleaning duties in patient areas, staff rooms, offices and communal spaces.
• Clean and disinfect surfaces, floors and sanitary facilities regularly.
• Handle waste following infection control and clinical waste protocols.
• Replenish soap, towels and toilet tissue.
• Report maintenance issues or hazards promptly.
• Follow PPE and COSHH guidelines and health and safety rules.
