Job summary

The Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Domestic Supervisor to lead a team of Domestic Assistants, ensuring high cleanliness standards across hospital facilities. The role involves audits, appraisals and staff training within the Freeman Hospital and external clinics.

You will work 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 14:00-22:00, and be required to work bank holidays. Experience in NHS domestic services and supervision is preferred; training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising domestic services.
• Experience in the cleaning industry.
• Previous supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of Domestic Assistants to maintain high cleaning standards in designated areas.
• Audit wards and departments to ensure cleanliness.
• Conduct appraisals, return to work interviews and staff training.
• Ensure timely completion of PLB/appraisals and mandatory training.
