Job summary

NHS Golden Jubilee University National Hospital is recruiting a Housekeeper to join our Housekeeping Team. You will help deliver a clean, safe and welcoming environment for patients, guests and visitors across our facilities.

Working in a fast-paced hospital setting, you will clean guest bedrooms, public areas and service zones to a high standard, use cleaning equipment safely, and report maintenance issues promptly. Flexible working options are available to support staff needs.

Qualifications

• Has previous experience working within housekeeping in a hotel or other guest accommodation environment.
• Demonstrates good communication, literacy and numeracy skills.
• Knows day-to-day housekeeping duties and cleaning procedures.
• Able to work in a team and use own initiative.
• Excellent organisation and ability to adapt to changing demands.
• Understands confidentiality and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning and maintaining guest bedrooms to a high standard.
• Keeping public areas, corridors and service areas clean and accessible.
• Using cleaning equipment safely and effectively.
• Carrying out scheduled cleaning per NHS Scotland specification and infection prevention.
• Maintaining housekeeping trolleys and stock levels.
• Reporting maintenance issues promptly.
• Responding to guest requests professionally.
• Supporting efficient operation of the housekeeping service.
