Job summary

Sussex Community invites applications for a Catering Assistant in the Main Kitchen at Bognor Regis War Memorial Hospital. The role supports inpatient meals and staff/visitor snacks, with early or late shifts and training provided.

You will cover coffee shop duties when required, and prior food hygiene training is compulsory. We value enthusiasm, flexibility and the ability to learn, with full training given and opportunities to work across the Facilities team while supporting HACCP, allergens

Qualifications

• Good numeracy and literacy on entry to the post.
• Experience in customer-focused environment is desirable.
• Experience in healthcare environment is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Regenerating prepared meals.
• Cold food preparation.
• Cleaning and washing up.
• Receiving and storing deliveries.
• Ensure compliance with HACCPs, food safety policies and current legislation.
