Job summary

NHS Jobs seeks a Catering Assistant for the Main Kitchen at Bognor Regis War Memorial Hospital. You will support the Facilities team, preparing meals for inpatients and staff in a patient‑focused environment. Training will be given, with early or late shifts depending on the rota and duties spanning the coffee shop coverage.

Previous catering experience is a benefit, but full training is provided. Applicants should be enthusiastic, flexible, and able to cover additional shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• Food Hygiene Training is compulsory for these roles.
• Previous experience would be an advantage, but training will be provided.
• Enthusiastic and friendly; willing to learn and cover additional shifts.

Responsibilities

• Regenerating prepared meals and cold food preparation.
• Cleaning and washing up; receiving and storing deliveries.
• Support HACCP compliance, allergens, and current food safety legislation.
