Job summary

Bristol NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting for catering staff to support the central Production Kitchen, restaurant and cafes ahead of the Bristol Surgical Centre opening. The role involves food service, cleaning, pre-preparation and reheating meals for patients, with cash handling and pot washing as part of daily duties.

Candidates must have or obtain a Level 2 Foundation Certificate in Food Hygiene, and be currently employed in catering with recent experience.

Qualifications

• Current knowledge of catering procedures and food safety at supervisory level in high-volume outlets.
• Ability to follow instructions accurately and reliably.
• Good communication with colleagues and teamwork in a busy environment.

Responsibilities

• Serve food to patients, staff and visitors.
• Clean premises and equipment to standard.
• Pre-prepare food items before service as required.
• Reheat cooked meals for patients on wards at lunch and supper.
• Handle cash transactions at tills where applicable.
• Pot washing and maintaining cleanliness of catering stores area.
