Job summary

The Hospital 24/7 team is expanding with two site capacity managers to oversee bed management and patient flow across the Trust's hospitals. The role includes leading capacity decisions, deploying staff, and providing clinical guidance as the senior nurse on site out of hours.

Shifts are 12 hours including days, nights, weekends and bank holidays. Applicants must have an acute nursing background, with band 6 experience and a degree, and be ready to contribute to performance targets and incident

Qualifications

• NMC registered nurse with first level registration.
• Acute clinical experience of 5+ years.
• Band 6 experience in an acute area for at least 2 years.
• Teaching and assessing qualification or willingness to train.

Responsibilities

• Lead site capacity management and coordinate Hospital 24/7 across the Trust.
• Apply and manage the escalation policy and levels.
• Allocate and deploy staff resources across the Trust.
• Act as senior nurse on site out of hours and provide clinical advice.

Education

Degree in a relevant subject

Teaching and assessing qualification

ALERT or equivalent qualification

ALS provider or willing to undertake
