The Loss Foundation is a registered charity specialising in providing bereavement support for people whose loved ones die of cancer. The charity is run by volunteer psychologists and mental health professionals, as well as professionals from other fields.
The charity hosts online bereavement support groups and therapeutic events, and offers in-person support across the country through informal get-togethers and walks.
We are expanding our team and seeking compassionate, reliable, and conscientious volunteers with excellent communication skills and an interest in helping others.
Honorary psychologist roles involve co-facilitating bereavement support groups and events for those who have lost loved ones to cancer; supervision from Clinical Psychologists; and ongoing CPD and training.
Ideal candidates will have excellent organisational skills, initiative, flexibility, warmth, and enthusiasm for learning about bereavement support. Volunteers will receive supervision, professional development, and opportunities to contribute to research. We offer comprehensive training and CPD for those interested in psychology careers. We welcome applications from individuals with a general interest in helping others.
