The Loss Foundation is a registered charity specializing in providing bereavement support for people whose loved ones have died of cancer. The charity is run by volunteer psychologists and mental health professionals, as well as individuals from other professions.
We host online bereavement support groups and therapeutic events, and offer in-person support across the country through informal get-togethers and walks.
Our charity team is expanding, and we are seeking compassionate, reliable, and conscientious volunteers with excellent communication skills and an interest in helping others.
Honorary psychologist roles involve co-facilitating bereavement support groups and events for those who have lost loved ones to cancer. Volunteers will have supervision from Clinical Psychologists and access to ongoing CPD and training.
Successful candidates will possess excellent organizational skills, initiative, flexibility, warmth, and enthusiasm for learning about bereavement support. Volunteers will receive scheduled supervision, professional development sessions, and opportunities to contribute to research. We offer comprehensive training and CPD for individuals interested in psychology careers. We welcome applications from those with a general interest in helping others.
