Job summary

Sgscare is looking for an experienced Homes Manager to lead a multi-bed LD children's home in Middlesbrough. You will progress from Deputy Manager to Registered Manager, guiding the Ofsted registration process with strong support from an in-house team.

The role requires confidence in managing an LD provision, working autonomously yet with seasoned oversight throughout the registration period.

Qualifications

• Experience as Deputy Manager in an LD provision.
• Ability to lead an Ofsted registration process and maintain readiness.

Responsibilities

• Lead and own the LD home, ensuring stability and positive outcomes.
• Drive Ofsted readiness: SC1/SC2 submissions at start and Fit Person stage mid-term.
• Collaborate with Registered Manager and RI to support registration and ongoing compliance.

• A leader who can work autonomously, with full support from an experienced in-house Registered Manager and RI throughout the registration process
• Comfortable leading the Ofsted registration process — SC1/SC2 submitted as soon as you start, with the Fit Person stage typically following around 9 months later
