Camden Council is seeking a Homelessness Prevention Adviser to deliver housing advice and options services in a fast-paced environment. The post will support statutory requirements under the Homelessness Reduction Act and collaborate with partners across the criminal justice system to reduce homelessness on release.

This role contributes to achieving the strategy's aims through delivery of a first class housing advice and options service, ensuring statutory Homelessness Reduction Act legislative requirements are met, and working effectively with stakeholders using early intervention and prevention strategies. The role will ensure
One of the fixed-term Homelessness Prevention Adviser roles will sit within the Single Pathway Service and focus on supporting people leaving prison to access and sustain safe accommodation. The post holder will work closely with partners across the criminal justice system, including probation, prisons and other statutory agencies, to coordinate effective release planning and reduce the risk of homelessness on release. This role will involve regular co-location with criminal justice partners, building strong working relationships and ensuring a joined-up approach to supporting individuals to successfully reintegrate into the community.
This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and will require an Standard DBS.
