Job summary

Specsavers is seeking a Home Visits Optical Assistant to take care to patients in their homes across our territory. The role involves providing eye care, dispensing at all levels, and supporting clients in familiar settings.

The ideal candidate will be driven, approachable, and able to build rapport with patients. A full UK driving licence is essential, and the position offers part-time hours with a customer-focused, community-based service.

Qualifications

• Current or recent optical experience (at least 6 months-1 year) and you must be able to confidently dispense at all levels.
• You must hold a full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Provide eye care to patients in their homes and dispense at all levels.
• Drive to patient homes as part of a home-visits service across the specified territory.

You’ll be driving our services to the doorsteps of the nation, providing eye care to the people who are unable to come into our stores. Not only do you help them with their sight, you’ll also be bringing smiles and clinical care into the heart of your community.

The job is varied: you’ll work in a range of locations and testing environments every day – no two days are the same. Our region covers Herefordshire, Gloucestershire, Swindon and Wiltshire, Bath, Northeast Somerset, Bristol, and a small portion of Wales (Chepstow and Monmouth). To meet the needs of our business, our preferred candidate will be based in South Bristol/Weston-Super-Mare.

With more 1-on-1 time spent with patients in the place where they feel comfortable, you can really cater to their needs and make a real difference in their lives.

We’re looking for someone driven and approachable; a real people person. You'll need to be able to confidently dispense at all levels and hold a full UK driving licence - which are essential criteria for this role.

You’ll be providing care to vulnerable patients in their own homes across our territory in Herefordshire, Gloucestershire, Swindon and Wiltshire, Bath, Northeast Somerset, Bristol, and a small portion of Wales (Chepstow and Monmouth).

What we’re looking for?
