Job summary

South Lanarkshire Council is seeking an Occupational Therapy Support role in East Kilbride to help service users regain independence and return home safely. You will work with a multidisciplinary team, including carrying out home visits and facilitating discharges.

The post requires an HNC in Occupational Therapy Support or willingness to pursue it, with the ability to work autonomously and to tight timescales. Regular supervision and peer support are provided.

• Ability to work autonomously and to tight timescales.

Responsibilities

• Assess, practice, and evaluate functional abilities of service users.
• Support improvements in independence and confidence for service users.
• Identify and recommend appropriate equipment as required.
• Make onward referrals to statutory or voluntary agencies to meet identified needs.
