Job summary

Hendon Prep is seeking a reliable Home-to-School Driver to support our daily pupil transport service. You will drive the school buses, ensure pupil safety, and complete daily vehicle checks and transport paperwork in line with school routes and policies.

We require a 21+ year old with a full UK driving licence (2+ years), a valid Driver CPC and tachograph card. Flexibility for split shifts and strong communication with pupils and parents are essential.

Qualifications

• Be aged 21 or over with a full UK driving licence (held for at least 2 years).
• Hold a valid Driver CPC and digital tachograph card.
• Be reliable, punctual, and professional.
• Communicate well with pupils, parents and staff.
• Be flexible and able to work split shifts.

Responsibilities

• Driving school buses for home-to-school journeys.
• Ensuring pupil safety and wellbeing at all times.
• Completing daily vehicle checks, timesheets, and transport paperwork.
• Following agreed routes, schedules, and school policies.
• Reporting any vehicle defects, safety concerns, or incidents promptly.
• Acting as a positive and courteous ambassador for the school.
