Job summary

Moray Council is hiring a Home School Link Worker (Various schools) to support pupils and families facing barriers to learning, including health and attendance issues, across Moray. The role involves taking referrals, working with agencies, and delivering targeted programmes in schools as needed.

The post is temporary until 15 August 2027, 15 hours per week during term time, with a closing date of 2 October 2026.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with children, young people and/or families.
• Experience of working in a multi-disciplinary setting.
• Experience of assessment.
• 4 SQA Standard Grades or equivalent at level 3 or above including English and Maths.
• PVG scheme required due to regulated role.

Responsibilities

• To participate in the assessment of needs of pupils and families identified through referrals.
• To develop and deliver programmes of support for pupils and families based on assessed needs.
• To implement an agreed monitoring and evaluation procedure that informs future service development.
• Travel between Moray locations using a car/van and work across multiple schools as needed.
