Valley Care Direct invites applications for Care Workers to join our local teams across Hull. You will deliver compassionate, person-centered care in familiar surroundings, enabling vulnerable adults to live independently at home.

We offer full or part-time contracts, flexible hours, paid induction and ongoing training, a company mobile phone, and DBS paid for. No prior experience required—training provided to help you grow and progress within our supportive family-oriented team.

Qualifications

• Right to work in the UK.
• Full driving licence and access to a vehicle preferred.
• No previous care experience required; must be compassionate, an excellent communicator and a problem solver.

Responsibilities

• Assist with mobility and daily living tasks.
• Assist with medication administration.
• Domestic tasks: beds, tidying, light cleaning, laundry.
• Assist with eating and drinking by preparing meals and snacks.
• Support personal care: washing, bathing and toilet arrangements.
• Assist with use and care of aids and equipment.
• Contribute to end-of-life care when needed.

We are looking Health Care Assistants to join our already established teams in the local communities of:

• Orchard Park
• Orchard Park - Compass Road

• Cottingham Road
• The Avenues
• Beverley High Road
• Beverley Road
• (surrounding areas)

We have both full and part time positions available for care workers.

Working shift patterns of:

• 7am - 3pm
• 3pm - 10pm
• All staff are required to work alternate weekends

You’ll provide life-changing care and support that enables vulnerable adults of all ages to live fulfilling lives in their own homes.

Job Description

• Helping service users overcome any mobility
• Support with administrating medication.
• Domestic tasks such as making and changing beds, tidying rooms, light cleaning, laundry and emptying commodes
• Help with eating and drinking by preparing meals, snacks and drinks
• Our home care assistants are responsible for assisting service users with personal care such as washing, bathing and toilet arrangements.
• problems and other physical disabilities, including helping in the use and care of aids and personal equipment.
• Contribute as needed to a person’s end-of-life care

Requirements
