Job summary

The Richmond Fellowship Scotland is seeking compassionate Support Practitioners to assist individuals living in their own homes in Hamilton and Blantyre. A driver with access to your own car is required due to the nature of the role.

You don’t need care experience as training is provided, including a fully funded SVQ. You’ll support with daily living tasks, medications, finances, meals, and personal care while engaging in residents’ hobbies and activities.

Qualifications

• Empathetic and caring nature.
• Good observation skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Confidence in using computers.
• Ability to work well in a team and independently.
• Good organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals living in their own homes with disabilities and/or additional support needs in all aspects of their daily lives, including support with medication and finances, housework, meal preparation, cooking and personal care.
• Take an active interest in service users' hobbies and activities, supporting outings and social plans.
• Work within a supportive team to ensure high-quality, person-centred care.
