Job summary

Renfrewshire Council is seeking a Home Care Worker for Extra Care Housing (Temporary). The role involves supporting service users with personal care, meals, and daily living activities within a community setting. You will work 25 hours per week on a 4 days on/4 days off rota, across extra care housing developments.

Essential experience in care, ability to communicate effectively, and a flexible team player. Temporary post for 18 months or until funding ends, subject to Disclosure Scotland checks.

Qualifications

• Experience of working in a care setting and delivering intimate personal care.
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally, with information monitoring and reporting.
• Reliable and flexible with the ability to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist service users with personal care (washing, dressing, toileting, medication as needed).
• Help with preparing breakfast and meals when necessary.
• Support service users to maintain and develop daily living skills and independence.
• Work flexibly across the service and respond to changing needs.
