Job summary

Silver Service Carers is a small, friendly domiciliary care provider in Newark, delivering personalised care to elderly clients in their own homes. We offer competitive pay and a supportive, value‑driven workplace where experience is recognised.

Pay includes travel time paid at the full hourly rate from start to end of shift: £15 per hour on weekdays and £16.50 per hour on weekends, plus mileage at 35p. Shifts are early or late with possible alternate weekends.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's licence and own vehicle.

• Full, paid training provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support to individuals in their homes, following care plans and support from senior colleagues.
• Assist with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation. We cover all kinds of support, from housework to end-of-life care.
• Drive clients to appointments or outings as needed.
• Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and healthcare professionals.

Pay:

• Travel time paid at full hourly rate from beginning to end of shift. Time is paid at full hourly rate from beginning to end of shift (no gaps). £15 per hour on weekdays, £16.50 per hour on weekends Mileage 35p

Shifts:

• Early shifts 7am-2/3pm, Lates 3:30-9pm + alternate weekends

Qualifications / Requirements:

• Basic literacy skills for documentation and communication
• Experience in care preferred but not essential
• Must be reliable, patient, happy to both work alone and in a team
• Experience preferred but not essential as full, paid training is provided. Must have own transport
• Be within 10-11 miles from Newark
• Female only due to client preferences
