Job summary

The Artemis Home Birth continuity team at St Helier Hospital, Carshalton, invites a Band 6 Midwife to join our established home birth service. You will work within a dedicated team that delivers care from booking through antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal periods, supporting women choosing home birth with a named consultant obstetrician and MDT support.

You will be a confident autonomous practitioner, NIPE trained with NLS preferred (we can support if not yet achieved) and a car owner/driver.

Qualifications

• Registered Midwife with ongoing professional registration.
• Mentorship qualification or SSSA equivalent.
• NLS accreditation.
• Further education in midwifery.

Responsibilities

• Undertake all clinical activities required of a midwife.
• Assess care needs and develop/implement care plans per best practice.
• Provide continual assessment and continuity of carer through pregnancy, birth and postnatal.
